Advancing Dual-Language
Education for Bilingual Students
Congratulations to our Spring 2026 Read Conmigo Educator Grant Recipients in Dallas, Los Angeles, and Miami!
These outstanding educators are advancing dual-language (Spanish-English) education in their classrooms and helping bilingual students thrive academically and culturally. Each will receive a $3,000 grant to support classroom resources and/or professional development.

Educator Grants
Each year, The Kemper Foundation awards up to 100 Read Conmigo Educator Grants of $3,000 each to educators in dual-language (Spanish-English) programs at public and charter elementary schools in the following locations:
- California: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties
- Florida: Broward and Miami-Dade counties
- Texas: Dallas County
Grant funds must be used toward classroom resources and/or professional development that advance dual-language (Spanish-English) education for bilingual students.
Eligibility Requirements
Read Conmigo Educator Grant applicants:
- Must be a full-time, licensed teacher in a dual-language (Spanish-English) program at an accredited public or charter elementary school in one of the select locations
- Must have at least two years of experience as an elementary teacher in a dual-language (Spanish-English) program (Note: Student and substitute teaching do not count)
- Must maintain that at least 50% of teaching time is dedicated to providing group instruction to students (Note: One-on-one instructional time does not count toward this time requirement).
Applications
Applications must be submitted through our grants portal. Applications submitted via mail or email will not be accepted.
Grant applications are accepted twice annually in the spring and the fall.
