Fall 2026 Educator Grant Applications Now Open

Apply for a $3,000 grant to support your dual-language classroom in the 2026-2027 school year.

Educator Grants

Each year, The Kemper Foundation awards up to 100 Read Conmigo Educator Grants of $3,000 each to educators in dual-language (Spanish-English) programs at public and charter elementary schools in the following locations:

Arizona: Maricopa County

California: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties

Florida: Broward and Miami-Dade counties

Illinois: Cook County

Texas: Dallas, Harris, and Hidalgo counties

Grant funds must be used toward classroom resources and/or professional development that advance dual-language (Spanish-English) education for bilingual students.

Eligibility Requirements

Read Conmigo Educator Grant applicants:

Must be a full-time, licensed teacher in a dual-language (Spanish-English) program at an accredited public or charter elementary school in one of the select locations

Must have at least two years of experience as an elementary teacher in a dual-language (Spanish-English) program (Note: Student and substitute teaching do not count)

Must maintain that at least 50% of teaching time is dedicated to providing group instruction to students (Note: One-on-one instructional time does not count toward this time requirement).

Applications

The application period for the fall 2026 grant cycle is now open. Applications are due by Monday, June 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. local time.

Please Note: Starting this year, the Read Conmigo Educator Grants will transition from two application cycles per year to a single annual cycle. As a result, this will be the only opportunity to apply this calendar year.

Information Sessions
