Educator Grants

Each year, The Kemper Foundation awards up to 100 Read Conmigo Educator Grants of $3,000 each to educators in dual-language programs (Spanish-English) at public and charter elementary schools in the following locations:

California: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties

Florida: Broward and Miami-Dade counties

Texas: Dallas County

Grant funds must be used toward classroom resources and/or professional development that advance dual-language (Spanish-English) education for bilingual students.

Eligibility Requirements

Read Conmigo Educator Grant applicants:

Must be a full-time, licensed teacher in a dual-language (Spanish-English) program at an accredited public or charter elementary school in one of the select locations.

Must have at least two years’ experience as an elementary teacher in a dual-language program by the end of the school year during which the application is submitted (Note: student and substitute teaching do not count)

Must maintain that at least 50% of teaching time is dedicated to providing group instruction to students (Note: one-on-one instructional time does not count toward this time requirement).
